Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a Team Captain – Footwear & Apparel to coach a dynamic retail team and deliver outstanding athlete experiences.

You will lead with product knowledge, drive sales, and ensure customers find the right footwear and apparel for performance and style. In this role, you’ll recruit, train, and retain teammates, develop schedules, and maintain store standards while upholding policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes and inventory presentation.
• Promote and lead company programs and loyalty initiatives to drive sales and engagement.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and supervision to ensure operational efficiency and payroll targets.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and development to teammates to improve performance and customer service.
