Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced footwear environment. You will uphold store standards, assist customers with promotions, and help maintain inventory, product knowledge, and visual presentation on the sales floor.

The role involves processing sales at the POS, handling refunds and exchanges, and supporting back-office tasks as needed to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Qualifications

Interpersonal skills to deal with customers and employees
Basic communication, organization, and math skills
Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear
Basic knowledge of store policies and procedures
Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards

Responsibilities

Create an excellent shopping experience for customers following service standards
Maintain awareness of current promotions and merchandise presentation
Handle stock, cleanliness, and organized store areas
Develop product knowledge and fitting skills
Be mindful of Loss Prevention where appropriate
Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and merchandising placement
Process sales and POS transactions, including refunds/exchanges and customer pickup
