Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a sales associate to deliver outstanding customer service, meet sales goals, and support store operations. You will lead by example in maintaining product knowledge, merchandising standards, and accurate cash handling.

The role involves assisting with promotions, inventory tasks, and POS transactions to ensure a seamless shopping experience. As part of the store team, you will engage customers, promote rewards programs, and maintain brand presentation while working

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal with customers and employees.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising and understanding of presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers following service standards.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and organized stock.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Be aware of loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement.
• Process all sales and POS transactions in accordance with policy.
