Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a team member to deliver excellent customer service and support sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead by example in accuracy and presentation, process transactions accurately, and help maintain stock organization and store cleanliness.

Successful candidates will have retail experience, strong interpersonal and math skills, and knowledge of store policies. Knowledge of promotions and rewards programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and with team members.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Basic knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Promote company rewards program and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members.
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed.
• When performing cashier functions all sales will be processed in accordance with existing policy and procedure. All shoes will be checked for mates.
