Job summary

Performance Foodservice, a division of Performance Food Group, seeks an Area Manager to grow independent restaurant and foodservice accounts with emphasis on profitability through new sales and account penetration. The role may support regional or national chain customers to increase market visibility.

The Area Manager will analyze sales territory, plan sales approaches, and coordinate with Credit and center personnel to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction while driving margins

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of foodservice sales-related work experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Candidate must live in the sales territory; relocation assistance possible for experienced candidate.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business by analyzing sales territory and customers; samples products; plans sales strategy and makes sales presentations.
• Grows sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts and coordinates pricing, credit, scheduling, and deliveries; follow-ups to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by coordinating with center personnel to resolve issues; may make deliveries in emergencies.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitors accounts for credit terms and follows up on issues to minimize receivable problems.
• Maintains awareness of pricing trends to ensure competitive pricing.
