Summary

Our team, based at our HQ in Salisbury, MD, is looking for a Marketing Manager to support our Wholesale, Industrial, International and Foodservice division. The Marketing Manager will support the duties of the Director of Marketing and is a key driver of profitable growth of our business in the WIFI/Foodservice Channel.

The salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Customer Marketing:
    • A-National Accounts- Develop and perform customer presentations for the secondary chains as defined by National Account Sales Leadership. Performs syndicated tool research, web research as well as working with the ad agency to create data resources. Data understanding and synthesis into insights/presentation content will be required. Sales actions will require supervision by the Director of Marketing, Vice President of National Account Sales. Create valuable Culinary Ideations with customers requiring giving R&D and Chef direction plus group presentations for our premium proteins.
    • B- Distribution Marketing- Be the marketing resource for Regional Business Managers and Brokers. Bring Foodservice resources to the field supporting actions at the Market levels. Includes: custom Point of Sale; Training in the field; Training Broker Reps via ride-with; promotional support; selling or selling assistance at all levels. Perform role as Marketing lead delivering Category expertise.
  • Product Marketing:
    • Supports the Director of Marketing in WIFI creating strategy and driving profitable growth. Assists in enhancing quality for the Categories. Performs key Product Line Management: new product development with R&D; Product line rationalization recommendations; packaging upgrades; financial management reporting to Marketing and Channel leads; cost reduction actions; specification review and quality improvements/quality issues; price stratification/management recommendations; Lead role in managing price deviations/P&L impact actions for cost and price. Competitive intelligence identifying changes within the category maintaining accurate competitive database for use in sales training. New Product support development including: Point of Sale, Point of Purchase and Food Show Materials; Web Site and other content for outside communication; Advertising development; Strategy development for communication of new products. Works closely with the Ad Agency team to manage creative process.
  • Segment Marketing:
    • Marketing Manager will perform as the Leader on designated focused Segments of Foodservice TBD (Commercial segments, College and Universities or Health Care etc.). Leads the Agency team effort for communication to the Sales team/Brokers and to the Segment Operators. Ad Creation if deemed appropriate for the strategy. Develop communication for new product offerings. Implements Strategic Plan Marketing tactics in key Segments as the Category expert.
  • Brand Marketing:
    • Foodservice stewardship creating premium protein Brand building efforts and participates in the creation of the strategies. Participates in key brand in various platforms including Point of Sale, Food Show Materials, Training Materials, Web Site content.
  • Innovation:
    • Create new product ideas for growth. Work within the R&D process to prioritize creation of new categories, products, co-pack arrangements, new packaging, new processes and cost reduction.
  • Operations:
    • Team member of Profit Management Team performing as Marketing Lead for the Category increasing profit.
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business related field is acceptable with MBA being considered valuable/desirable. Our ideal candidate will have/be:

  • 5-7 years related Protein product/category as Manager specific experience
  • Ability to think and act strategically
  • Proactively identify business issues
  • Develop and implement successful programs to grow the brand profitably
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • P&L understanding
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills for “fact based” strategic recommendations
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is office based within an open cubical environment.
