Job summary

Maverik is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead by example in a high-volume, 24/7 store environment. The role requires overseeing team members, ensuring safe food preparation, and maintaining clean self-serve options.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in foodservice management, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain is required.

• Effective Problem Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize & analyze an issue while creating effective solutions.
• Foodservice: 2+ years of foodservice management (preferred).
• ServeSafe Certification: Currently certified or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead by Example: Be a team player by fulling & overseeing all tasks and duties required of Team Members.
• Team Development: Assist with the training, mentoring, & supervision of store team members.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure proper & safe food preparation while maintaining clean self-serving options (food & drink dispensers).
• Operational Excellence: Complete with the inspection of facilities/equipment with the Store Director as well as third-party inspections.

Physical Requirements

• This position involves frequent standing, walking, handling, and horizontal reaching. It also requires reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, as well as activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. The role may involve lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
