Job summary

Maverik, Inc. is hiring a Food Service Manager to oversee daily operations at our taos-area store. You will lead by example, train and mentor team members, and ensure safe food preparation while maintaining clean self-serve options.

The role requires flexibility for a 24/7 schedule and delivering outstanding customer service. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of foodservice management experience and a ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain one.

• 2+ years of foodservice management experience (preferred).
• Must be 21+ to apply.
• ServeSafe certification required or willing to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and oversee all tasks and duties required of Team Members.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and supervision of store team members.
• Ensure proper and safe food preparation while maintaining clean self-serving options (food & drink dispensers).
• Inspect facilities/equipment in coordination with the Store Director and third-party inspections.

Physical Requirements

• This position involves frequent standing, walking, handling, and horizontal reaching. It also requires reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, as well as activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. The role may involve lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
