Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a PRN Food Service worker for St. Josephs South in Riverview. You will provide meals to patients, guests and staff, and ensure a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

Duties include preparing and delivering trays, cleaning, and coordinating with medical teams to support nutrition services. The role requires flexibility for varying shifts (8-10 hours) and a strong focus on patient care and food safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• HS diploma or GED or equivalent is acceptable.
• Food safety credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service to patients, guests and staff.
• Maintain a sanitary, clean food production area and follow FIFO.
• Prepare, assemble and deliver patient trays or catering events.
• Assist with daily dishwashing and area cleaning.
• Act as liaison between patients, caregivers and Food & Nutrition Services.
