Job summary

BayCare in St. Joseph's North Hospital, Lutz, Florida, is seeking a full-time Food Service Associate to support patient meals and catering needs. You will prepare, assemble and deliver patient trays, maintain a sanitary, organized kitchen, and coordinate with hospital staff to ensure timely service.

The role requires excellent customer service, adherence to safety standards, and a preference for a High School Diploma or GED, with Technical School training optional. Shift varies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical School training preferred.
• Prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides food service to patients, guests, or customers.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe food production environment.
• Prepares food or drink items, assembles, and delivers patient trays or catering events.
• Performs daily cleaning of dishes and work areas.
• Receives and stores food and supply deliveries using FIFO principles.
• Acts as a liaison between patients, guests, physicians, other hospital personnel and Food and Nutrition Services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
