Job summary

East Mississippi Correctional Facility in Meridian, MS, is hiring a career-minded Food Services Manager to oversee the resident dining hall and special food services in compliance with MTC and MDOC directives. You will lead production supervisors, manage the department budget, plan menus, supervise staff and residents, ensure sanitation and safety, and maintain inventory under budget constraints.

Must have a high school diploma, several years of food service and supervisory experience, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years wage-earning experience in correctional, commercial, or institutional food service preparation and budgeting.
• One year full-time, wage-earning experience in supervision of employees.
• Must obtain Mississippi food service certifications.
• Valid Mississippi driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversees dining, service, and food preparation areas to meet sanitation and safety regulations.
• Plans menus and ensures quantity and portion control; reviews cooks’ worksheets.
• Manages department budget and reconciles monthly; supervises staff and residents; assigns schedules.
• Maintains accountability of staff, residents and property; adheres to safety practices.
