Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is hiring for a full-time dining area supervisor in Woodville, MS. You will direct residents, maintain a clean, safe kitchen, and assist in meal service per pre-planned menus under MDOC directives.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience, and Mississippi food service certifications. A driver’s license is needed unless waived, with benefits including insurance, 401(k), PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year full-time experience in correctional, commercial, or institutional food preparation or food service preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain required Certifications for food service in Mississippi.
• Valid driver’s license in Mississippi with acceptable driving record unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all food preparation equipment and keep it safe and operable.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure area is safe, clean and sanitary at all times.
• Direct the work of residents in serving meals as required.
• Ensure counts of kitchen tools and control items at start and end of each shift.
• Oversee cleaning and deodorizing of rest rooms.
• Stand and walk for long periods; may be required to lift items and push/pull meal carts.
• Promote positive social skills and provide feedback on staff interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
