Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Food Preparation Coordinator to oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from meal prep to service and event catering.

You will ensure compliance with CACFP, maintain records, and guide kitchen staff to meet quality and safety standards. The role requires a Food Protection Manager certificate (or within 90 days) and 2+ years in foodservice, with bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Food Protection Manager certificate required or within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on site.
• Minimum 2 years’ foodservice experience preferred.
• Experience leading or managing foodservice operations preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all food services including breakfast, lunch, home meals, center snacks and events.
• Oversee daily kitchen staff duties to ensure proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving and disposal of food per standards.
• Maintain CACFP, internal policies and regulatory records.
