Position Information
Classification Title: Service/Maintenance Worker
FLSA: FTE 1.00
Minimum Qualifications: Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications & Position Summary: This is manual and semi-skilled work involving a variety of food service duties in dining hall or kitchen operations. Responsibilities include serving foods, cleaning facilities, and preparing meals for serving lines.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Competencies: Knowledge of safe food handling practices, food preparation methods, and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Demands: Ability to move loads up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive motions, reach, climb, crouch, and work in noisy, hot/cold environments with chemicals and fumes. Long hours standing may be required.
Additional Information: This position does not involve driving, financial resource control, security access, or direct care of children or patients. A credit check and background investigation are required, and may include a criminal background check and drug test.
