Position: Fresh Foods Supervisor

The supervisor will oversee all activities of the deli/food service department and its staff, ensuring the achievement of merchandising, sales, and customer service goals. Candidates should have at least 2 years of food service management experience, along with a passion for food and customer service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Managing department staff, aligning with goals, and coordinating with store management and supervisors.
2. Hiring, onboarding, and coaching new team members.
3. Scheduling staff shifts.
4. Engaging with customers through greetings, product information, sampling, and expressing gratitude.
5. Processing customer orders, ensuring timely and satisfactory service.
6. Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
7. Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels and merchandising standards.
8. Overseeing the preparation and sale of deli/food items, including entrees, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, and beverages.
9. Displaying products according to company merchandising guidelines.
10. Following recipes accurately.
11. Rotating stock to ensure quality and safety, controlling shrinkage.
12. Receiving and auditing merchandise, organizing storage areas.
13. Conducting inventory counts periodically.
14. Completing paperwork promptly and accurately.
15. Handling cash register transactions, refunds, and ensuring correct pricing.
16. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of sales and prep areas.
17. Ensuring safety procedures are followed.
18. Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• At least 2 years of management experience in a food environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings; willingness to assist at other locations.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Passion for food and creativity.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate POS systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, work in coolers, and stand for extended periods.
