Position: Fresh Foods Supervisor

The supervisor will oversee all activities of the deli/food service department and staff to meet merchandising, sales, and customer service goals. Candidates must have at least 2 years of food service management experience and a passion for food and customer service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Managing department staff, achieving goals, and communicating with store management and supervisors.
2. Hiring, onboarding, and coaching new team members.
3. Scheduling staff shifts.
4. Engaging with customers through greetings, product information, sampling, and expressing gratitude.
5. Handling customer orders ensuring timely and satisfactory service.
6. Following all food safety and sanitation regulations.
7. Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels and merchandising standards.
8. Overseeing preparation and display of deli/food service items, including various hot and cold foods.
9. Adhering to product recipes and rotating stock for quality and safety.
10. Receiving and inventorying merchandise and supplies.
11. Completing paperwork accurately and promptly.
12. Processing transactions and ensuring correct pricing and signage.
13. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in all areas.
14. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years old
• At least 2 years in a management role within a food environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Serv-Safe certification preferred
• Passion for food and creativity
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in coolers/freezers
