Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is hiring a Food Service Supervisor Full Time (First Shift) in Paducah to supervise Food Service associates and ensure proper assembly, service, sanitation, and safety across the department.

You will monitor performance, provide leadership, and assist staff in achieving personal and departmental goals while ensuring timely reports and patient-related communications with Nursing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of food service management experience.
• Strong leadership and sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Food Service associates and monitor performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff.
• Assist staff in achieving department goals.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on time.
• Communicate patient-related problems to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate with Nursing to meet patient food needs.
• Enforce infection control and sanitation standards.

Summary

Food Service Supervisor Full Time, First Shift Responsible for the supervision of Food Service associates. Ensures proper assembly and service of foods; sanitation and safety of service, and utility areas of the department. Ensures safe and efficient uses of resources.

Job Duties

• Monitors employee’s job performance.
• Works with staff to improve performance and behavior while providing Leadership and guidance.
• Assists staff in achieving personal and departmental goals.
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients’ food needs are met.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and sanitation with refrigeration temperatures, hand washing, use of gloves and label & dating of food.
• Ensures kitchen floors are maintained in a clean and safe manner throughout the day and enforces correct sanitation procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least two years of Food Service Management experience

Preferred Requirements

• Food Handler card or Servsafe certificate preferred
