Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for the first shift, full-time. You will supervise Food Service associates, ensure proper food assembly and service, maintain sanitation and safety, and ensure efficient use of resources in the department.

Responsibilities include supervising staff performance, reporting per policy, coordinating with Nursing on patient food needs, enforcing infection control standards, and maintaining clean, safe kitchen areas throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of Food Service Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee performance and provide leadership and guidance to staff.
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports per corporate policies and procedures.
• Communicate patient-related problems to appropriate personnel and coordinate with Nursing to meet patients' food needs.
• Demonstrate infection control and sanitation practices, including proper refrigeration temperatures, hand washing, gloves, and labeling/date of food.
• Ensure kitchen floors and work areas are kept clean and sanitized throughout the day.

Food Service Supervisor

Full Time, First Shift

Responsible for the supervision of Food Service associates. Ensures proper assembly and service of foods; sanitation and safety of service, and utility areas of the department. Ensures safe and efficient uses of resources.

Job Duties:

• Monitors employee’s job performance. Works with staff to improve performance and behavior while providing Leadership and guidance. Assists staff in achieving personal and departmental goals.
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients’ food needs are met.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and sanitation with refrigeration temperatures, hand washing, use of gloves and label & dating of food.
• Ensures kitchen floors are maintained in a clean and safe manner throughout the day and enforces correct sanitation procedures.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least two years of Food Service Management experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Food Handler card or Servsafe certificate preferred
