Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee the Food Service staff on the first shift. You will ensure proper assembly and service of foods, sanitation and safety, and efficient use of resources.

You will monitor staff performance, complete reports per policy, and coordinate with Nursing to meet patients' dietary needs. A High School diploma and at least two years of Food Service Management experience are required; ServSafe or Food Handler certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of food service management experience.
• Food safety certification preferred (ServSafe or Food Handler).

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee job performance and provide leadership and guidance.
• Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly reports per corporate procedures.
• Coordinate with Nursing to meet patients' dietary needs and address related concerns.
• Demonstrate infection control and sanitation knowledge, including temperature control and labeling of food.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen areas and enforce sanitation procedures.

Food Service Supervisor

Full Time, First Shift

Responsible for the supervision of Food Service associates. Ensures proper assembly and service of foods; sanitation and safety of service, and utility areas of the department. Ensures safe and efficient uses of resources.

Job Duties

• Monitors employee's job performance. Works with staff to improve performance and behavior while providing Leadership and guidance. Assists staff in achieving personal and departmental goals.
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients' food needs are met.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and sanitation with refrigeration temperatures, hand washing, use of gloves and label & dating of food.
• Ensures kitchen floors are maintained in a clean and safe manner throughout the day and enforces correct sanitation procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least two years of Food Service Management experience

Preferred Requirements

• Food Handler card or Servsafe certificate preferred
