Job Summary

Supervises and coordinates food service personnel involved in meal preparation and service. Manages food acquisition and supervises related staff activities.

Essential Functions

1. Develops and monitors budgets and sales goals related to food and labor costs.
2. Prepares work schedules and assigns personnel to meet production needs.
3. Inspects food orders for quality, presentation, temperature, and portions; instructs staff accordingly.
4. Prepares or supervises preparation of cold dishes, appetizers, and fillings for multiple sites.
5. Maintains food production records and reports.
6. May order food directly from suppliers and evaluate sourcing options.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree in Nutrition required. Experience may substitute for degree.

Licenses and Credentials: ServSafe Food Handler Certification; ServeSafe preferred.

Experience: 5-7 years in food service, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
• Customer service and quality control skills.
• Ability to plan schedules, train staff, and enforce safety procedures.
• Supervision and leadership capabilities.
• Understanding of organizational workflows and safety standards.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, balancing; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching; constant handling and feeling; rare foot use. Visual, auditory, and communication abilities are essential.

Work Details

Location: 55 Fruit Street; Onsite; Rotating shifts; Per diem employment.
