Job Summary

Supervises and coordinates food service personnel involved in meal preparation and service. Manages food acquisition and supervises related staff activities.

Essential Functions
  1. Develops and monitors budgets and sales goals related to food and labor costs; estimates production and inventory needs based on menu forecasts.
  2. Prepares work schedules and assigns personnel to meet production plans.
  3. Inspects food orders to ensure standards for presentation, temperature, and portioning; instructs staff accordingly.
  4. Prepares or supervises the preparation of cold dishes, appetizers, and fillings for multiple sites.
  5. Maintains records, reports, and files as required.
  6. May order and evaluate food suppliers for cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nutrition required. Experience may substitute for degree.
  • Licenses and Credentials: ServSafe Food Handler Certification; ServeSafe preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in food service, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Inventory control, customer service, quality standards, scheduling, staff training, safety procedures, facilities maintenance.
Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, balancing; occasional sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching; constant handling, fingering, feeling, and vision; rare foot use.

Work Details

Onsite, rotating shifts, 0 hours scheduled weekly, per diem employment.
