Job summary

Snelling Staffing Lexington is seeking a food service worker to prepare, present, and serve food in a fast-paced setting. You will wash, peel, cut and seed vegetables and fruits, weigh ingredients, and ensure proper portioning.

You will also serve customers efficiently and maintain sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dining area. This role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related experience) and a valid food handlers permit.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits.
• Weigh and measures designated ingredients.
• Stores foods properly with wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and follows recipes and production standards.
