Job summary

Snelling Staffing Lexington in Lexington, KY is seeking a Kitchen Staff member to prepare, present, and serve food in a fast-paced setting. You will wash, cut, and measure ingredients, store foods properly, and maintain sanitary work areas.

You will work Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM and Saturday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, with a focus on customer service, safety, and teamwork to meet ServSafe standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Must meet safe and local health requirements for food handlers; valid Food handlers permit.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits.
• Weigh and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Resolves customer concerns.
• Interacts with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
