Job summary

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking a Food Service Manager to oversee kitchen operations, plan nutritious menus, and ensure safety and compliance in a treatment environment. The role emphasizes cost-conscious purchasing, staff supervision, and quality control of meals for clients.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of supervisory experience in institutional food service, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of Food Service supervisory experience in an institutional setting.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Purchases food and supplies with cost and quality considerations.
• Maintains inventory and storage locations for all kitchen items.
• Ensures HACCP safety procedures and daily kitchen inspections.
• Schedules menus, deliveries, and staff for meals.
• Supervises kitchen staff, conducts training, and ensures adherence to recipes and quality.
