Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee a large jail facility's food service operation onsite. You will supervise a team, ensure compliance with health codes, and coordinate with the Food Service Director to meet menu plans and service standards.

The role requires ServSafe certification, inventory control, and strong leadership. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, paid training, and career advancement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years old.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through effective communication.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for planned menus.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules to meet menu specs safely.
• Maintain sanitary environment following codes and regulations.
• Responsible for state inspections of the food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as needed.
