Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee a large food service operation within a jail/correctional facility, reporting to the Food Service Director. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and ensuring adherence to health codes and menu specs.

You will supervise food service workers, manage inventories, and ensure timely preparation and distribution of meals. On-site employment with opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities for reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through communication.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for planned menus.
• Ensure food items are stored properly.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications and safety guidelines.
• Maintain sanitary environment following health codes and regulations.
• Responsible for inspections of the food service operation.
• Other duties as required.
