Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Food Service Operations Supervisor to direct daily multi-functional food service activities in a hospital setting. You will ensure equipment, inventory and resources are available to meet goals while supervising staff and maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires solid communication, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to customer service. A high school diploma or GED with two years of supervisory experience is required; Serv Safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years supervisory experience
• Associate's degree preferred
• Serv Safe certification

Responsibilities

• Directs daily operations of multi-functional food service operations to ensure staff have equipment, inventory and resources to perform jobs and meet goals.
• Assists in cash controls and payroll functions (time sheets, records, schedules).
• Probes problems and informs leadership on resolution status, using appropriate resources.
• Supervises day-to-day activities, delegates authority and prioritizes tasks.
• Provides constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, and motivate.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and hospital policies.
• Establishes a safe work environment with safety training and equipment maintenance.
• Sets operating standards and communicates quality improvements.
• Maintains relationships and satisfaction across multi-functional food service areas including retail and patient services.
• Executes service quality and maintains high delivery standards.
• Promotes workplace diversity initiatives.
