Job summary

Eckerd Connects in Albany, GA is hiring a Food Service Manager to oversee the center’s dining operations. You will plan, coordinate, and develop procedures to run the dining facility effectively, efficiently, and economically, and work with Purchasing and Finance to manage food and equipment inventory.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety and sanitation, preparing menus, and supervising staff. A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor’s is preferred, along with ServSafe certification and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
• Three years broad-based experience in institutional food service capacity; one year in a lead or supervisory position preferred.
• ServSafe food safety certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Must pass drug screen per policy.
• Employment contingent on successful nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operation of the center Food Services department.
• Plan, coordinate, and develop procedures to operate the dining facility effectively, efficiently, and economically.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Finance to maintain food and equipment inventory.
• Maintain strict safety and sanitation codes and procedures.
• Prepare menus and determine quantities and quality of foods ordered.
• Submit weekly reports and train staff in sanitation and safety procedures.

Education
