Job summary

ShopRite of Woodbridge is seeking a Food Service Manager to direct and supervise all functions of the Food Service Department, driving sales, profit, customer experience and associate engagement under the General Store Manager.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, guest service leadership, team onboarding, training, and maintaining department standards. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to engage and lead Associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote charitable promotions to Customers.
• Assist with onboarding of new department Associates.
• Provide training and feedback to Associates.
• Lead Associates to work cooperatively and with enthusiasm.
• Sample new items and seasonal favorites to stimulate interest.
• Maintain safety standards and enforce department policies.
• Ensure proper stocking, pricing, and display of items.
