Florida Department of Children and Families in Gainesville is seeking a Food Support Worker for the Food Services Unit at the North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center. The role requires cooking, food preparation, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience; or completion of a program of study from a vocational/technical school in a food service area.
• Knowledge of cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting; sanitation procedures; ability to follow recipes; organizational skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; able to work with others.

Responsabilités

• Cook and prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner following standardized recipes.
• Serve as shift supervisor/lead worker in the absence of the Food Services Administrator.
• Portion and pan hot food items for delivery to residential buildings.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area and equipment.
