Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience or completion of a vocational/technical program in food service.
• Knowledge of cooking and food preparation procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain sanitary working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meats, vegetables, soups, and gravies following standardized recipes.
• Serve meals and portions to residents and staff as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, grills, stoves and equipment.
• Coordinate with the shift and assist the Food Services Administrator when needed.
• Ensure leftovers are properly documented and leftovers are reused where appropriate.
• Assist with tray line setup and monitor special diets as required.
