Elior School Dining is seeking a Food Service Director for our Helena and Blytheville schools. You will lead a skilled team, oversee all dining operations, and ensure meals are served to students, faculty, and clients without disruption.

The role requires coordinating staff, maintaining safety standards, and managing budgets to meet forecasted targets. Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives is essential, as is experience with industrial cooking and MS Office.

The Role at a glance

We are looking to add a motivated, effective food service director to our School Dining team in Helena and Blytheville. As a food service director, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that students, faculty and clients never miss a meal

What you'll be doing

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Manage and lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
• Addressing customer service needs.

What we're looking for

Must-haves

• At least four years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
• The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in school dining under NSLP
• Previous experience in food service contract services
• ServSafe and/or HACCP certification

Compensation Range

Up to $60,000 per year depending on experience
