Job Overview

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The following statements describe the general nature of work for this position. They are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

1. Prepare and cook foods for patients, staff, and catering events, including measuring ingredients, adjusting thermostats, and monitoring food levels.
2. Assist in assembling and serving patient and non-patient meals, including stocking, serving, and taking food temperatures.
3. Clean and sanitize dishes and pots.
4. Operate and maintain the cash register, ensuring shifts balance.
5. Set up and replenish the salad bar; maintain cleanliness in the cafeteria.
6. Perform patient service-related clerical duties.
7. Assist in cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
8. Recognize the specific ages of patients served and apply this knowledge when necessary.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
