UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Montefiore Hospitals are seeking to hire full-time, flex full-time, part-time, and casual Food Service Attendants to support their patient services departments. These positions require working holidays and weekends. Candidates must be able to work between 5:00am and 8:30pm and have open availability.

Individuals hired into this role must comply with UPMC’s COVID vaccination requirements upon beginning employment. Refer to the COVID-19 Vaccination Information section at the top of this page to learn more.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
  • Follow hand hygiene and infection control procedures consistently when interacting with customers.
  • Assemble and serve meals according to diet orders, menus, and patient/guest specific requirements.
  • Ensure necessary food and service equipment/utensils are available and secured for assigned area prior to meal service.
  • Inventory and stock bulk supplies following established procedures and designated time frames.
  • Maintain food safety and quality by applying HACCP principles throughout service.
  • Patient Service Responsibility: Serve patient meal trays using the designated department script, including proper patient identification.
  • Perform sanitation for the assigned work area according to departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
