Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service in Seattle is seeking a versatile Food Service Worker to support back and front of house operations, from food prep to check-in desk, under the Chef and Dining Director.

You will handle catering support, cleaning, restocking, safe food handling, and guest service, with opportunities to contribute to a flagship campus account while maintaining high quality and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a kitchen or catering setting preferred.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Punctual, reliable with a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute prep tasks: washing, peeling, cutting ingredients per recipes.
• Prepare dough, add toppings, and operate pizza ovens for quality.
• Support catering setup/breakdown, food transport, buffet, guest service.
• Assist Chef by retrieving equipment and managing par-cooked items.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitize utensils, follow health regulations.
• Wrap/date-label/store food, monitor stock, notify management of low supplies.
• Clean tables and restock dining hall; check-in students and collect meal payments.
