Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service in the United States seeks a versatile Food Service Worker to support back and front of house operations. You will handle high-volume prep, catering support, cleaning, restocking dining halls, and check-in desk duties alongside the Chef and Dining Director.

You should have 1-2 years in a kitchen or catering setting, basic knife skills, and the ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs. A Food Handler’s Card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years in a kitchen or catering environment preferred.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong physical stamina; stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication to coordinate during busy service hours.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Reliability with punctuality and a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays).

Responsibilities

• Execute prep tasks including washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.
• Master dough preparation, toppings, and pizza oven operation for quality.
• Support catering setup/breakdown and guest service.
• Assist Chef by retrieving equipment and organizing workspace.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment.
• Wrap, label, and store food; monitor stock and notify management.
• Assist in dining hall cleanup and restocking; check-in students and collect payments.
