Responsibilities

1. Assembles patient and mobile meal trays in accordance with approved diet guidelines and portions, adhering to productivity standards.
2. Loads and transports food carts; delivers patient meal trays to rooms following established procedures.
3. Provides initial service to visitors in the cafeteria, serving food and maintaining cleanliness; operates cash register, handles cash, and completes daily reports as needed.
4. Performs cleaning duties in the kitchen and cafeteria, washing pots, pans, and dishes according to sanitation procedures.
5. Assists with catering events, including preparation, setup, cleanup, presentation, and decorating; manages food presentation for major catering events.
6. Prepares snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and other patient food items following standardized recipes and diet guidelines.
7. Prepares, arranges, serves, and replenishes food, beverages, and condiments in retail and kitchen areas; emphasizes food garnishing and presentation.
8. Delivers and stocks supplies across various hospital units, adhering to procedures and productivity standards.
9. Monitors food temperatures and employs safe food handling techniques to prevent foodborne illnesses.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Stand, walk, reach, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and climb during shifts.
• Lift up to 40 lbs, push/pull with 20 lbs force.
• Work environment includes fumes, odors, dust, and potential hazards; protective clothing may be required.
• May need to enter patient rooms wearing protective coverings.
