  • Assembles patient and mobile meal trays/meals in accordance with approved diet guidelines and portions while adhering to productivity standards.
  • Loads and transports food carts. Delivers patient meal trays to patient rooms following established procedures.
  • May serve visitors in the cafeteria, operate cash register, handle cash, and complete daily reports as needed.
  • Performs cleaning duties in the kitchen and cafeteria, washes pots, pans, and dishes per sanitation procedures.
  • Assists with catering events, including setup, cleanup, and presentation. Coordinates food preparation and presentation for major catering.
  • Prepares snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and other patient food items per recipes and diet guidelines, maintaining productivity standards.
  • Prepares and replenishes food, beverages, and supplies in retail and kitchen areas, focusing on presentation and garnishing.
  • Delivers and stocks supplies in various hospital units, adhering to procedures and standards.
  • Monitors food temperatures to ensure safety and prevent foodborne illnesses.

  • Same as above, emphasizing meal assembly, delivery, cleaning, catering, food prep, and safety.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment, stand, walk, reach, lift up to 40 lbs., and work in a potentially hazardous environment with fumes, dust, and sharp tools.
