Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is seeking a Food Service Worker for Pioneer Home in Fairbanks, AK under a union contract with Laborers’ Local 942. Responsibilities include cleaning, food prep, stocking, serving, and supporting safety programs in a busy kitchen and dining area.

The role requires basic food service knowledge, English proficiency, and a Food Handlers Card or ServSafe within 30 days. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and indoor duties in an Assisted Living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preference for candidates with at least six months experience in the food service industry.
• Must have Food Handlers Card or ServSafe within 30 days of hire.
• Must have knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• Contract requires English speaking, reading and writing.
• Union dues deducted per collective bargaining agreement between NMS and Laborers’ Local 942.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with general information and inquiries.
• Obtains products requested by residents.
• Prepares various food products following standard food handling procedures.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, and storage areas in an organized manner.
• Stocks and maintains storage areas and service machines.
• Supports an effective Safety Program and participates in cleaning projects.
• Assists cooks and coordinates activities with others.
• May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, or sauces.
• Other duties as assigned by department.
