Job summary

Qualifications

• Preference given to candidates with at least six months experience in the food service industry.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have Food Handlers Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Must have some knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with general information and inquiries.
• Obtains products requested by residents.
• Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Safely and efficiently prepares various food products following standard food handling procedures.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans and stores them in an orderly manner.
• Maintains products at proper levels in preparation, serving or storage areas.
• Stocks storage areas with various products.
• Cleans and maintains dining, kitchen, or storage areas and equipment; floors as needed.
• Supports an effective Safety Program.
• Removes garbage and sets up/breaks down tables and serving lines.
• Assists with larger cleaning projects.
• Assists cooks and coordinates activities with others.
• May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats.
• Other duties as assigned.
