Job summary

HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in affiliation with Select Medical in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Per Diem Food Service Aide to support inpatient meals. You will prepare high-quality food, operate kitchen equipment safely, and assist with menu selections while maintaining HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling.
• Preferred: Healthcare/restaurant experience.
• Preferred: Commitment to customer service.
• Preferred: Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising quality.
• Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, sanitation, and HACCP plan.
• Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping.
• Assist patients in menu selections, offering alternatives based on allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Update diet changes in patient diet management system, print and distribute reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
• Perform cafeteria duties including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Food Handlers Card
