Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Food Service Aide on a full-time schedule (6:30 am–3:00 pm or 12:00 pm–8:30 pm) to prepare quality meals, operate kitchen equipment, and support patient dining needs in a rehabilitation hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card required.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification; healthcare/restaurant experience; commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
• Complete scheduled procedures without compromising quality of work.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
• Complete cleaning duties, pull trash, sweep, mop.
• Assist patients in menu selections, accommodating allergies and cultural preferences.
• Update diet changes in the patient diet management system and print reports.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
• Perform cafeteria duties including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
• Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
• Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping
• Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menu in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Food Handlers Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling
• Healthcare/restaurant experience
• Commitment to customer service
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders
