Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Food Service Aide for full-time shifts (6:30 am–3:00 pm or 12:00 pm–8:30 pm). Compensation is $17.50–$23.55 per hour. You will prepare meals, assist patients with menu choices, and ensure safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
• Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan
• Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping
• Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menu in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Food Handlers Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling
• Healthcare/restaurant experience
