Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital - Beachwood is seeking a Food Service Aide to join our inpatient rehab team in Beachwood, OH. The role supports dietary services for patients, including meal preparation, menu assistance, and care for diverse dietary needs.

The position offers per diem scheduling with a starting compensation of $16.00 per hour. Candidates should have a Food Handlers Card and be at least 18 years old, with opportunities to advance based on performance and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
• Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
• Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menu in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Food Handlers Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling
• Healthcare/restaurant experience
• Commitment to customer service
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders
