Select Medical partnered with Cleveland Clinic Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital - Avon is seeking a Food Service Aide for Per Diem shifts at Avon, OH. The role supports meal preparation, patient menu assistance, and safe food handling in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include preparing high-quality food, operating kitchen equipment safely, assisting with menu selections, stocking nourishment rooms, and maintaining sanitation per HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling.
• Healthcare/restaurant experience.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
• Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
• Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menu in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.
