Job summary

Mountain Lake Lodge in Pembroke, VA is seeking a dedicated Host/Server for our summer season. You will welcome guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks in a fine dining setting while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, timely service, POS transactions, collaboration with the kitchen, and wine/cocktail recommendations with the sommelier. This role requires standing for long periods and will rely on tips plus a base pay structure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
• Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating an enjoyable dining experience.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and order calculations.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift trays or dishes as needed.

Mountain Lake Lodge is a drug-free employer.
