Job summary

Wild Dunes Resort, Destination by Hyatt, on Isle of Palms, SC, seeks a Server Assistant/Busser to support the restaurant team. You will help keep tables clean and ready, assist servers, and contribute to a seamless guest experience.

Light to moderate lifting, flexible evenings and weekend availability, and a customer‑service mindset are essential. Hospitality experience is preferred, and ServSafe Alcohol certification is required or obtainable after hire.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• South Carolina ServSafe Alcohol Certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently for servers.
• Maintain dining room, service stations and surrounding areas clean.
• Refill water glasses and assist with bread and beverages as directed.
• Support servers with delivering food and condiments.
• Restock silverware, glassware, linens, and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with team for smooth service.
• Assist with floor setup and breakdown before and after service.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Provide a friendly and professional presence in the dining room.

Position Overview

The Server Assistant / Busser supports the restaurant service team by ensuring tables are clean, properly set, and ready for guests. This role works closely with servers to provide seamless service, maintain cleanliness throughout the dining area, and enhance the overall guest experience. The Server Assistant / Busser helps create a welcoming, polished, and efficient environment in keeping with Wild Dunes Resort’s standards of hospitality.

• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, service stations, and surrounding areas.
• Refill water glasses and assist with bread, beverages, and other guest needs as directed.
• Support servers in delivering food and condiments when needed.
• Restock supplies (silverware, glassware, linens, etc.) to ensure readiness for service.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide smooth, timely service.
• Assist with floor setup and breakdown before and after service.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Provide a friendly and professional presence in the dining room, contributing to a positive guest experience.
