Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a friendly Greeter for Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, SC. You will welcome guests, manage seating, and assist guests with reservations while delivering attentive service in a fast-paced resort setting.

You will maintain knowledge of resort amenities, upsell services, and provide guest information to ensure a memorable experience for each visitor.

Greeters are responsible for welcoming and creating the first impression for guests. These individuals have the ability to influence the overall restaurant experience by their interactions that include providing table accommodations and offering menu recommendations. Greeters may be the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction. If you have worked as a restaurant host or restaurant hostess, your skills are invaluable to the position of Greeter at Hyatt. Essential job Functions:

• Plans and coordinates timely seating of guests
• Greets incoming guests
• Takes reservations in person and over the phone, using professional language at all times
• Clears and resets tables according to specifications of restaurant standards
• Adheres to steps of service using the service standards manual
• Ensures tables are pre-bussed throughout shift
• Removes plates and silverware from table as guests are finished
• Ensures silverware is polished and china and glassware is not chipped
• Works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
• Keeps refillable beverages always full
• Notifies server when brining coffee, tea or other beverages to tables to ensure proper charges
• Completes all opening, on-going and closing side work and manager on duty as signed off on work
• Stocks/restocks appropriate linens
• Stocks/restocks work stations with appropriate glasses, plates and saucers
• Informs server of any potential guest issues
• Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitation
• Provides general resort information for guests
• Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
• Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
• Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
• Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
• Familiarizes him/herself with all menus

Job Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
• Must possesses excellent communication skills
• Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent listening skills
• Must always ensure a teamwork environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height; and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, overhead reaching, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and squeezing occasionally
