BENCHMARK is seeking a highly motivated Room Service Runner for Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. In this role, you will take guests’ orders and deliver food and beverage to their rooms while ensuring accuracy and timely service.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer‑focused Room Service Runner to join our team at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. Room Service is responsible for taking guests’ orders over the phone and delivering food and beverage to guest rooms. They are responsible for ensuring accurate food orders as well as timely delivery.

About the Property

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174 ft. The resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft. of meeting and events space.

Responsibilities

Be thoroughly familiar with the menus, ingredients, and methods of preparation for each dish, wine list, as well as hours of operation for all food and beverage outlets. Be thoroughly familiar with the room layout and the property in general. Be knowledgeable about the hotel and its amenities. Collect orders from the kitchen, ensuring they have been prepared correctly; and promptly and efficiently deliver to the guest’s room. Submit signed checks and reconcile daily sales. Assist with the collection of Room Service trays and other food and beverage items from the guest rooms, including proper breakdown of trays and other items. Follow all standards of proper service etiquette and practice these standards throughout the guest dining experience. Consistently deliver courteous, professional service. Maintain high standards of cleanliness (personal appearance, equipment, and facility) at all times.

Compensation

Salary: $16.90–$16.90 per hour.
