About Our Property

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174 ft. This resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. The resort offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. Facilities include a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach, and over 23,000 sq ft of meeting and events space.

Seasonal Position (June 2026 - Mid January 2027)

We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team! The role involves setting up and preparing banquet rooms for functions, serving and bussing tables, and clearing and tearing down banquet rooms at the end of each event.

Your Role

• Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and putting out table centerpieces.
• Service to include picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing the food from the tables.
• Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
• Clean the back hall and organize the storerooms.
• Set up morning or evening break stations that include coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages.
• Assist as needed with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
• Perform food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, removing dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables or counters and taking them to the kitchen.
• Clean and sanitize tables and/or counters and seats after guests finish.
• Explain how various menu items are prepared, including cooking methods and ingredients.
• Take into consideration any special requests and dietary issues made by guests.
• Provide general property information and offer a warm, sincere welcome and farewell for all guests.
• Interact with staff professionally, assisting other departments with necessary information.
• Ensure a final quality check on food and beverage items before serving guests.
• Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service.
• Address any guest issue promptly and with high concern.
• Assist other event and restaurant staff as needed.
• Maintain constant awareness of safety issues, such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons.

What are we looking for?

Compensation

$16.90 per hour.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
